Exploring Banff Town

A Quaint Haven Amidst the Mountains

Delightful Banff Mountain Refuge We began our tour in Banff Town, a picturesque alpine town known for its lively atmosphere and stunning architecture. Along the roads, you could find vendors offering anything from carefully assembled specialties to open air gear. As we wandered around the beguiling bistros, we relished our espresso while appreciating the staggering scene of the adjoining tops. Our tour’s ideal starting point was the town because it had both beautiful mountain scenery and modern conveniences.

The Majestic Lake Louise

Turquoise Waters and Glacial Serenity

The beautiful Banff Public Park was impeccably arranged close to the dazzling Lake Louise, a high priority fascination by its own doing, and the peaceful icy masses and turquoise streams that round it. We couldn’t believe our eyes as the water became awe-inspiring blue as a result of glacier melt. Lake Louise in Banff National Park showcased the recreation area’s wild splendor against the backdrop of towering ice sheets and snow-capped mountains. From the quiet boat, we could see the immense lake and its environmental factors.

Hiking the Moraine Lake Trail

Trails of Tranquility

Walking Along Peaceful Lands on the Way to Moraine Lake Moraine Lake, another Banff treasure, greeted us with its crystal-clear waters against the backdrop of the renowned Valley of the Ten Peaks. Since the Moraine Lake Trail promised a personal encounter with the stunning Rockies, I couldn’t say no. The high knolls were enhanced with lively wildflowers as we strolled through them, adding an explosion of variety to the in any case pine-scented air. The hike is well worth it because you can see the mountains around you from every point along the trail.

Wildlife Encounters

Banff’s Untamed Residents

Banff Creature Experiences Each and every individual who loves nature and creatures will track down heaven at Banff Public Park. On our hike, we ventured into the countryside and were lucky enough to hear wolves howling in the dark, see mountain goats scaling rock faces, and see elk munching on grass. The commitment of the recreation area to untamed life assurance and the board is straightforwardly reflected in the chance to notice these animals in their regular environments. The way winds its direction through verdant valleys cut out by glacial masses, blue lakes, and grandiose mountains. We took a guided tour that took us to several well-known spots, including the Athabasca Glacier, where we learned about the geological formations that have been there for a long time in this region.

Soaking in Hot Springs

To loosen up following a lot of time visiting, nothing beats the Banff Upper Natural aquifers. An Underground aquifers Retreat in the Lovely Mountains Is the Ideal Spot to Loosen up From their vantage point on Sulfur Mountain, the natural aquifers gave an unrivaled display of the far off, stunning mountains. To loosen up and contemplate our Banff excursion, we hopped into the mineral-rich underground aquifers and wondered about the dazzling differentiation between the cold mountain landscape and the warm hug of the springs.

Cultural Exploration in Banff

Unveiling the Past

On a group adventure, learn about the park’s rich history Banff Public Park is home to stunning natural scenery as well as a treasure trove of historical relics. We went to the Cavern and Bowl Public Notable Site, which was the beginning of Canada’s public parks. It was situated among the tranquil thermal springs and provided a glimpse into the innovative conservation and research that had taken place in the area prior to the establishment of Banff National Park.

Charming Wildlife Town of Jasper

A Quirky Haven in the Wilderness

The magnificent town of Jasper, which is at the northernmost point of the Icefields Parkway, was where our adventure continued. It is a genuine heaven for travelers. Staggeringly Gorgeous Jasper Backwoods Protect; Due to its relaxed atmosphere and abundance of animals, Jasper was the ideal location for a break. After seeing the town and stopping by the Jasper National Park Information Centre, we were well-prepared for the numerous thrilling outdoor activities that the area has to offer.

Pyramid Lake and Maligne Canyon

Nature’s Sculptures

The tranquil waters of Pyramid Lake reflected the distant mountains, providing the ideal setting for in-depth contemplation. We continued onward until we arrived at Maligne Gulch, where quick waterways had scratched elaborate plans into the stone. Investigating the crevasse by walking gives another vantage point from which to take in the Rockies, featuring the fragile manners by which Mother Earth has formed the view.

Sunwapta Falls Adventure

Cascading Beauty

We were like two little kids on the first day of school.  Full of anticipation, eager to know what the future held, and extremely nervous about what we were leaving behind.  It was July 31st and Lana was spending her last day at work while I spent the final hours prepping The Grizzly for travel.  Lana and I were both on emotional roller coasters.  We were leaving behind our two daughters and our only granddaughter, our lifetime friends with whom we had shared so many memories, and the city we had called home the past twenty-eight years.

Wait just a second, did I say we were leaving our granddaughter behind…NO WE ARE NOT!!!  Thats right, we talked her mommy into allowing Grammy and PaPa to take her with us for an entire month with the pure intention of totally spoiling her and ease our separation anxiety.

Thirty years ago, Lana and I honeymooned in Colorado Springs so it was a clear choice we would start our full-time life together there.  After saying our goodbyes, we picked up our granddaughter and began the nomadic lifestyle we had dreamed about.

Our first destination stop was the Garden of the Gods RV Resort.  See our review of the resort here.  Once we arrived and got set up, we headed over to the Garden of the Gods.  Garden of the Gods is filled with several 300′ tall red sandstone rocks towering above the valley and encompassing over 15 miles of hiking trails.  There is everything to do from bike riding, rock climbing, horseback riding, and Jeep/Segway tours.

Having a 16-month old with us inhibited some of our recreational activities and we contemplated purchasing a child carrier but we still found a way to maneuver her stroller along the trails and over the rocks to visit the Siamese Twins and Balancing Rock.

The second day we visited one of our favorite small towns, Manitou Springs.  Manitou Springs downtown is full of fun, small eclectic shops, restaurants, and pubs.  We had a wonderful time taking a stroll downtown window shopping and stopping into the Colorado Custard Company for a quick snack.

Downtown is extremely busy during the summer time as thousands of tourist flock to the areas nearby attractions ( Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Manitou Incline, and America’s Highway….Pikes Peak) so we would suggest arriving early to acquire a parking spot.

We spent our third day at the RV resort installing a UV-LED water purfication system called ACUVA I had watched two YouTube videos, one by the RVGeeks and the second by Less Junk More Journey, about this installation of this product and both channels received a $100 discount code through ACUVA.  Lana and I had always been concerned about drinking water at campgrounds, RV resorts, and through our fresh water tank and this seemed to be a great fit for us.  The installation was a breeze and I can attest the water is the best I have ever drank!!  We highly recommend this product and the customer service is quite outstanding.  Here are a couple photos of the install.

The package includes all of the mounting hardware, the UV-LED purification system, water filter, and a beautiful chrome water dispenser.

Our fourth and final day was spent at the RV resort relaxing in the heated swimming pool and swinging at the playground.  We had a nice steak and potato dinner on the grille and then took a long walk around the RV park.  One thing we immediately noticed staying at a RV park, no one is a stranger and everyone is eager to meet new people no matter what type of pull-behind, fifth wheel, or motorhome you are driving.  We think we are going to like this lifestyle….
